Experience
I attended Cornell University, and over the last five years, I have been attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I have been working on completing my doctorate in American Literature. As a result of this work, I have a vast amount of experience teaching literature and writing to college students of every level. I believe I understand what college instructors are looking for in a student's writing. I strive to help students cross the bridge from high school writers to college level writers. I believe I can help students through the entire writing process, including idea development, research, organization, drafting, argumentation, revising, and editing, as well as managing their time effectively. I work with my students to find a way to develop their writing so that it suits their individual learning style and their specific educational needs. While writing is my field of expertise, I am also willing to tutor in Literature, Public Speaking, Reading, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, and GRE and SAT prep. In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, biking, and sewing.
