Hobbies

I love working with young people and motivating them to pursue their goals. I enjoy international travel and have trekked across more than fifteen countries all on my own. I just returned from a 5-week tour of Western Europe, visiting places about which I've studied and taught, including England, France, Germany and Italy. While I have studied Spanish at the university level, much of what I learned I gained as a result of travelling across Central and South American. I love to exercise and participate in races (5K/half marathons) and I also enjoy documentary films. I enjoy academic writing, but I also write for broader audiences, too. In fact, I have published a number of articles on-line and maintain a regular blog on social media. I continue to maintain contact with many of my former students, who have gone on to do great things!
