Education
I am a graduate student in piano performance at MSU and a native of Taiwan. I offer piano lessons and Chinese tutoring in the East Lansing area. I addition to music, I am able to help students who are studying Chinese language with their speaking skills and conversation. This is especially important for students who wish to study abroad in China or Taiwan. I prefer to meet students at the MSU library, MSU Union, or the East Lansing Public Library. I have a masters degree in piano pedagogy and have 10 years of private teaching experience in piano. I taught for several years in a private school in Taiwan before my move to the USA. Experience
I have undergraduate and masters degrees in piano pedagogy and performance from MSU and the National Normal University in Taiwan. Currently I am persuing the Doctor of the Musical arts degree at Michigan State University. I have taught piano lessons for over 10 years, and have experience with all ages and levels. (Please note: the hourly rate for piano is $40). Depending on the location, I can meet piano students in their homes. I am a native of Taiwan and have studied extensively in both American and Taiwanese universities. Because of my strong verbal skills in both English and Chinese, I am qualified to tutor students in Chinese conversation.
