Education
Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a 2014 graduate of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. During my time at Johns Hopkins I worked with multiple students as teaching assistant in epidemiology and statistics classes. My dissertation examined the associations between community violence and academic competency. Aim One assessed the joint effects of community violence exposure and the school context on academic achievement. Aim Two examined the associations between academic, behavioral, and social competences on standardized test performance using a latent class framework. Aim Three used latent class regression to examine significant predictors of the latent classes developed in Aim 2. Education: PhD, Public Mental Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. 2014 MPH, Epidemiology, University of Minnesota. 2006 BS, Political Science, Truman State University.2003
Experience
My teaching experience in public health and statistics includes the following courses: Introduction to Epidemiology, Statistical Reasoning in Public Health I, Statistical Reasoning in Public Health II, Statistics For Psychosocial Research: Structural Models, Drug Dependence Epidemiology, Causal Inference Methods for Public Health. I have worked with students one on one, in group settings, and in online forums. I am available to help with coursework and to assist with independent research projects. I can also provide assistance with SAS, Stata, and M-PLUS programming. I also work full-time as a statistician for the federal government so I have a very strong mix of real world and academic experience experience.
