Education

Bachelor of Science in Zoology, Concentration in Statistics from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) in 2012.

Experience

I am strictly a biology/life science tutor. I believe that specializing in one area insures I keep my knowledge sharp and provide quality education for my students. The classes I took in college include, but are not limited to: Cell biology, Genetics, Human anatomy and physiology, Evolutionary biology. I've also worked for four years in a neuroscience research laboratory conducting experiments--an experience that ended with my becoming a published author in a peer reviewed journal. My favorite biology topics are human physiology, and evolutionary biology.

Hobbies

My hobbies and interests are fairly random. For starters, I am an active artist; I focus on painting, but also love carving, sculpting, and photography. Some of my other big hobbies are furniture refinishing and dancing. In college I was a competitive ballroom dancer, as well as a frequent social dancer. On Friday nights, you would find me dancing lindy hop at a local club. Wether it's refinishing an antique piece of furniture, or polishing an old copper vase, I love taking old, forgotten things and giving them new life.
