Education

Mount Holyoke College - Graduated Spring 2013 Bachelor of Arts in Biology (major) and English (minor). GPA: 3.93 Duke University - Starting Fall 2017 I will be starting a doctoral program in Biological Sciences with a focus on insect evolution and development.

Experience

I have spent the past four years teaching science. For two years I taught 9th grade biology in Tulsa, Oklahoma through Teach for America. For the past two years I have been teaching 6th and 7th grade science. I love teaching kids about the wonders of the natural world and relish opportunities to inspire young minds.

Hobbies

I have been dancing since the age of 3 and continue to share my love of dance with the Upper School Dance Company at the school I work at. I have also come to enjoy running and have completed a 10K and a half marathon. I love to cook and bake, I enjoy reading and taking long walks. I also enjoy discovering new musical artists and try to go to as many live concert events as I can.
