Private tutor in Washington, DC
Babcock University - BS, Biochemistry , Loma Linda University - PhD, Biochemistry
I am a scientist currently working at the NIH. I earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and have been working as a scientist for a decade. I myself worked with a tutor in high school, and they ignited my interest in science. I credit their influence as one of the reasons I chose to enter the scientific fields for my career. While in college, I helped to organize study and tutoring sessions for fellow classmates. Also, while working toward my Ph.D., I was able to assist middle school students struggling with science through my church group. My specialties for tutoring are mathematics and science. Specifically, I can help students with Algebra (levels 1-4), General Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, General Chemistry, and Biochemistry. I am adept at teaching students in elementary and middle school as well as older students. As a tutor, my goals are to create a safe and supportive environment for my students so they are able to gain understanding and flourish academically. I enjoy helping my students develop a solid knowledge base and hope to nurture their interest in learning. I look forward to expanding and continuing my tutoring experience, and I am always happy to talk with you about any questions you might have.In my personal time, I enjoy being active (running, spending time at the gym). I also love pop culture.
